The artist, Royal Canadian Mounted Police Staff Sergeant Ed Hill, painted this work to celebrate “Journeys ‘97”, a 1000 mile canoe journey to raise funds for the VisionQuest Recovery Society.  It represents all of society “Pulling Together” for a common cause.

The Stitching Studio donates part of the proceeds
to the VisionQuest Recovery Society.

When the artist (Roy Henry Vickers) was a little boy, The RCMP Motor Launch 15 used to visit his remote Village of Kitkatla, near Prince Rupert, British Columbia.
Here we see the ship entering the harbour in the twilight of a beautiful northern sunset.  Loon and Raven represent healing and the birth of us humans.
